Urmila is a second year PhD student interested in cosmology and large-scale structure. Currently, she is working with Marla Geha on detecting ultra-faint dwarf satellite galaxies around the Milky Way. She is also developing sub-grid models for AGN accretion and feedback in Daisuke Nagai’s Omega 500 simulated clusters.
Outside of the department, she can be found practicing and teaching yoga, running or hiking, learning piano and petting dogs.
