The Yale Astronomical Society is a new organization in development that hopes to bring together the growing undergrad population in the Yale astronomy and astrophysics majors. We are a community of students who share a common interest in astronomy, whether as majors or hobbyists. In addition, we also focus on connecting Yale Astro majors with the department community, through graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and most importantly each other. We host regular meetings, where we hope to engage in professional development workshops, have fun community-building events, talk about astronomy news and updates, and attend telescope nights. We also host an open board meeting every month which members are able to attend to discuss new ideas they have for the club and plan future events.
If you are an undergrad interested in astronomy, even if you are not an astronomy major, please feel free to sign up for the mailing list here.
