Astro Undergrad Majors Recognized in First Annual Hoodie Ceremony
The Yale Astronomy Department officially recognized undergraduate majors in Astronomy and Astrophysics in its first annual hoodie ceremony on Friday, November 22, 2019. Department Chair, Sarbani Basu, and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Priya Natarajan, presented each of the students with their own Yale Astrophysics hooded sweatshirt, or “hoodie.” All faculty, students and staff were invited to a breakfast celebration before the ceremony.
The annual hoodie ceremony acknowledges Juniors and Seniors who have formally declared Astronomy or Astrophysics as their major.
