Hector Arce featured in CBS show “60 minutes”

One of the three segments that aired Sunday March 9, 2014 on the CBS show “60 Minutes” was about the cutting-edge scientific research that is being (and will be) conducted with the new and powerful Atacama Large Millimeter/sub-millimeter Array (ALMA). The segment was titled “ALMA: Peering into the Universe’s Past”. The report included interviews with the observatory’s Director and other astronomers working at ALMA, and also features research that has been conducted using the telescope. The work by Yale astronomer Hector Arce was shown several times during the report.
