Barry T. Chiang
A native of Taiwan, Barry T. Chiang has held appointments at Yale University (Postgraduate Associate with Frank van den Bosch, 2022-2023), Columbia University (Visiting Researcher with Jeremiah P. Ostriker, 2022), National Taiwan University (Research Assistant with Hsi-Yu Schive, 2020-2023), and the University of Illinois (Research Assistant with Jessie Shelton, 2018-2020). He completed a master’s in Applied Mathematics (Part III) at the University of Cambridge in 2021 and three bachelor’s degrees in Astronomy, Engineering Physics, and Music Composition at the University of Illinois in 2020. His research interests lie in theoretical/computational astrophysics and cosmology, especially in the areas of dark matter physics and galactic dynamics. Outside of research, he enjoys running, music making, cooking, and gardening.
